Hi Dimitri,

I am presently working on the thermodynamic-seaice package
in order to use it in the couple ocean-atmosphere set up.
Your latest changes are making things more difficult (also
Patrick has some problems with the adjoint).
Is it possible, for the time being, to put all those latest 
changes (EXTERNAL_FORCING_SURF & FREEZE in thermodynamics)
within #ifdef / #endif so that our results are not changed,
specially the 3 global_ocean verification exp.
And we can sort out these things when you visit MIT.
