Hi Patrick,

I just checked in a large-ish set of changes that adds the AD_CONFIG.h
file.  If you look near the end of genmake2 (lines: 1477-1513), you'll
see the location where you can set the #define and/or #undef values for
the above flags.

And I'll do the edits for the ALLOW_GRDCHK flag tomorrow when doing the
similar ALLOW_EXF cleanups.
