Jean-Michel, I have never used pkg/bulk_force so I don't
know if the ALLOW_BULK_FORCE condition is needed.

It looks like the ALLOW_BULK_FORCE condition was added
by Curt in checkpoint47a_post.  Has Curt or anyone ever
used adjoint compiler with pkg/bulk_force?
