With virtual hosting, I think having it all on the same machine can be
done.  That said, I don't relish the idea of setting up GForge again
with the added complexity of it being done as a virtual domain.  The
first three installs were time consuming (~2 weeks) and frustrating. 
GForge *isn't* a polished product.

Its simpler from a user perspective but difficult within GForge.  They
hard-coded the naming convention.

My recommendation would be to use the current install (long list names
and all) and then consider a fresh install (perhaps with virt-hosting)
after GForge reaches its next major release.
