[MITgcm-devel] .cvsignore

Can we please take care to maintain .cvsignore when we add temporary files
(such as log files).

The idea is that "cvs -q update" should list just the necessary changes
needed for check-in or update and not to have a terminal swamped by question
marks about unrecognized files.

I also want all .cvsignore files under verification/ to be the same unless
there's a REAL reason not to. I've noticed some .cvsignore getting updated
solely because it happens to be the current experiment someone is working on
and then it's a real pain to figure out what the optimum .cvsignore should
be when there are five different versions.

We also need to be careful about what we put in .cvsignore; I just changed
make.log to *.log rather than add run.log and this precludes us having a
file ending .log under CVS. If anyone knows of a .log file that we CVS let
me know. Generally, it is safer to not use blanket wild cards.
