  - rename integer variable ilcall to ipass (that's what it is called
    in the residual diagnostics
  - change time stepping for NPSEUDOTIMESTEP > 2 (does not change the
    default) for improved non-linear convergence of the first few
    steps
  - add a few comments and add new ones to explain some of the store
    directives
