Only master thread do MPI-send/receive; similar to what is done in eesupp
  with EXCH-1 (but cleaner, no need to save+change+restore myBx/yLo/Hi).
For now, MPI+MTH EXCH works only when applied to Shared array; extension
 to local array requires to split EXCH S/R in 4 steps:
 fill-buf(mth), BAR, mpi-send(1), MPI_BAR, mpi-rec(1), BAR, fill-edges(mth)
