- do not include ECCO_CPPOPTIONS.h in CPP_OPTIONS.h (at least in forward code)
- define EXF options in EXF_OPTIONS.h
- pkg profiles no longer compile (wrong PROFILES_OPTIONS.h): turn it off for now
