  - moved "RV1=$?" two lines up, so that it reports the status of the
    'makedepend genmake_tc.f' line and not the 'test -f
     $MAKEFILE".tst"  &&  mv -f $MAKEFILE".tst" $MAKEFILE' line. Let's
    hope that this was unintentional.
