o small modifications in exf-package to increase flexibility:
  - change climtempfreeze from a constant to a runtime parameter that
    is specified in data.exf_clim (default = -1.9)
  - introduce runtime parameter windstressmax (default = 2.0) that is
    specified in data.exf
