  Below are the commands people use to get a Matlab session.

1.  module add mpich/gnu
2.  qsub -I -l nodes=1:ppn=2 -q long -l walltime=24:00:00
3.  open new shell and:
ssh -Y {node name}
get {node name} from hostname command
4.  module add matlab
5.  matlab &
